October 21, 2016

Cineworld Swindon Regent Circus is proud to be supporting BBC Children in Need this year, with an array of fundraising activities scheduled between 1st  October and 18th  November Cineworld Cinemas across the UK have organised some amazing initiatives to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK..

Cineworld Swindon Regent Circus has organised the following activities for cinema-goers to get involved in;

Gung Ho

On 29 October we will be taking part in the Halloween special “Spooktacular” Gung Ho event in Bristol. This is a 5k inflatable course full of obstacles and added spooky surprises.

Charity Wrestling Quiz

In conjunction with 4FW we have a wrestling quiz for customers to complete, in exchange for a small donation customers can enter for the chance to win some really great prizes courtesy of the team at 4FW including the opportunity to meet former WWE star Ryback

Charity Raffle

We will be holding a raffle to win prizes such as meals at the Regent Circus restaurants and of course cinema tickets and film related prizes

We have already completed some events including shaving the head of a supervisor and a football match against our sister site at Shaw Ridge

In addition to the local activities, Cineworld Swindon Regent Circus will also be supporting wider fundraising initiatives that will run across Cineworld cinemas nationwide at all of its 94 sites:

Cycling the Cineworld Circuit

Cineworld is aiming to cycle the distance between all of our cinemas across the UK! To achieve this, Cineworld will be installing static bikes at selected cinemas and to encourage customers to get involved, Cineworld is giving away a Family Cineworld Pass at each cinema. Customers can enter the competition by heading to their local Cineworld Cinema, donating £2, jumping on a bike (optional) and having a guess at the total distance we’re aiming to cycle. All donations will go to BBC Children in Need. *

Movies for BBC Children in Need

During half term all proceeds from selected Movies for Juniors film screenings will go to BBC Children in Need. The range of Movies for Junior Films includes Ice Age: Collision Course, Finding Dory and Secret Life of Pets.**

BBC Children in Need Merchandise

In all Cineworld cinemas you can now purchase Pudsey Ears, Bandanas and Key rings (whilst stocks last) with all donations going to BBC Children in Need.

Matt Bayliss, Cineworld Swindon Regent Circus General Manager, comments: “At Cineworld we are very proud to be supporting BBC Children in Need. It’s an amazing cause that we are all very passionate about. Our aim is to get everyone involved from our cinemas, as well as our customers, friends and families. The more people we have working together the better and the more young lives we can help to improve. So head to your local Cineworld Cinema to do your bit whilst enjoying great films!”

For those who don’t have time to get involved, they can still support via the Cineworld Just Giving page: JustGiving.com/company/Cineworld
